The Hot Girl Summer Collection

Hot Girl Summer is a celebration of romanticism that consists of a two-piece large-scale painting collection, each featuring a dynamic silhouette of a woman in bold red. Created in 2021, I was inspired to transform the narrative, one that was raunchy and unflattering, into a work of art that reinterprets the trendy term, "hot girl summer", from inappropriate slang into a symbolism of strength, confidence, sensuality, and quiet passion. One figure is caught in a gaze, while the other sits in an open pose that creates multiple interpretations through duality . The use of heavy black paint, my signature woven pattern, and a yellow horizon adds depth, creating a visual narrative. The collection speaks to an audience that values empowered thoughtful expressions of femininity.
