GENESIS

Throughout time, the story of God has been one of the most controversial subjects of how the beginning of humanity and our world was created, nonetheless it has played such a significant role in the evolution of art. Through ancient sculptures and paintings of apostles, biblical art helped artists create dimension, perspective, and narrative through artistic forms which laid the ground work for future art movements. Without the biblical story of God it is hard to argue that human evolution would be where it is today.

GENESIS is a collection of eleven paintings made from the medium of oil on custom board with epoxy resin, in the form of cubism and geometric abstraction. GENESIS is a biblical art collection inspired by the story of god through the eyes of christianity. Luke Edward Stripp references scripture and the stories throughout each chapter to gain inspiration for each painting. The Story of God has been part of artistic inspiration for centuries through religious paintings by artists such as Leonardo Di Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Caravaggio. These masters gave Luke Edward Stripp inspiration through admiration to make religious art in contemporary society.

GENESIS begun on January 16th, 2024 and has been an on-going collection since.
